Name not shown on the San Jacinto rolls printed in 1836. He was barn in Missouri, September 1, 1817, a son of Adam and Jane S. Zumwalt who arrived in Texas with six of their children in 1829 and settled in De Witt's colony in what is now Gonzales County. In Headright Certificate No. 16 for a league and labor of land issued in 1838 to Andrew Zumwalt by the Board of Land Commissioners for Gonzales County it is stated that he came to Texas in 1831.(Submitted on October 10, 2022, by James Hulse of Medina, Texas.)
