Regarding Pond Fort - 1800. From the Boone's Lick Road Association's website: Malachi Baldridge settled on Survey #931 before his death by Indians in 1806. His father, Robert, inherited the son's land and, with the help of Rangers, built a fort here at the beginning of the War of 1812. The location of this site is given by the Geographic Names Information System (GNIS) web site. A D.A.R. marker is about 275 feet to the northwest of the fort site on the south side of Hwy N, directly opposite the Glen Brook Manor Drive.
