Regarding Cross Keys Tavern - 1829. From the Boone's Lick Road Association's website: James Jones built here in 1828 and established Cross Keys tavern here in 1834. Though somewhat later that the ca 1820 time frame, it is consistent with the route of the early Boone's Lick Road.
