1. West Side Santitarium Marker
Inscription. Dr James Dowle moved Dowle’s Sanitarium from Hills Ferry in 1893 to Fresno and Main Streets to become West Side Sanitarium. Newman’s 1st hospital was moved again in 1910 to its present location. It was a hospital until 1938 and medical offices until 1967, when it became a real estate office.
