1. American Baptist College Marker
Inscription. American Baptist College was founded in 1924 as the American Baptist Theological Seminary. The college has educated Civil rights champions, national leaders and outstanding Christian ministers. During the civil rights movement the school was a popular location for organizing and training students for social justice causes throughout Nashville. Today the college continues in the tradition of scripture which admonishes its students, "to do justice, to love mercy, and to walk humbly before God."
