Erica Gilmore. . Councilwoman Erica Gilmore holds a Master of Arts in English from Tennessee State University. She has represented the 19th district on the Metro Council since 2007. During her service, she has been Chair of the Education Committee, Chair of the Federal Grants Committee, and Vice-Chair of the Black Caucus. Mrs. Gilmore was elected speaker pro team for the 2001-2012 council year and was one of the Nashville Business Journal's Forty under 40 winners, in 2012. She is also a recipient of the 2011 Heritage maker, the 2009 Woman Who Makes a Difference, and the 2008 NAACP under 45 Leadership Award.
