Edith Taylor Langster. . Councilwoman Edith Taylor Langster holds a B.S. Degree in Sociology from Tennessee State University. She has represented the 21st district on the Metro Council since 2007. Mrs. Langster is a former Metro Police Officer and served as a State Representative in the Tennessee General Assembly from 1997-2007. During a September 2010 community meeting held to review recent projects and planned improvements to North Nashville, Councilwoman Langster was quoted as saying "This is the time for North Nashville, everybody is saying when is North Nashville's turn? This is the time now."
