Inscription. Dr. Starks is a Tennessee State University Alumna and faculty member. In 1986, Starks became the first female head coach of an NCAA Divisional Men's Golf Team. Starks coached the men's golf team to the National Minority Golf Championship in 2005. Today she heads TSU's Human Performance and Sport Science department.
