This 17 1/2 ft. sailboat is a single sail Charles D. Mower design built in 1924 by the Morton Johnson Boat Yard of Bay Head. It is marconi rigged and was sailed to first place in the "Classic Boat" division of the 1989 Wooden Boat Festival sponsored by the Toms River Seaport Society. This is a typical 18 foot catboat sailed on the Bay in that era. She has undergone complete restoration and has sailed the Bay again.
