Designed by Charles S. (Buck) Snyder and built by Buck and his brother Bob in 1937, the Sea Biscuit was originally an open sea skiff painted black. She was built primarily for off shore fishing and could make the "ridge" easily and quickly. Built with tiller steering, she was noted for her ease of handling in the inlet and at sea. The cabin was added at a later date. The Sea Biscuit was a real part of life on the Bay, when times were quite different.
