One section (two guns) of this battery was engaged here from 3 p.m. to 5.30 p.m. April 6, 1862.

Gun cast by Tredegar Foundry in Richmond, Virginia. Muzzle markings indicate this piece was foundry #1531, produced for Edenton Battery (initials EB). On the trunnions are markings for "J.R.A. & Co // TF" indicating Joseph R. Anderson & Company, Tredegar Foundry. The original gun was cast in 1862. (The gun is now located in Edenton, North Carolina.
