Orange County

Orange County honors the hundreds of its sons and daughters
who served America during World War II
as soldiers, aircraft & boat builders and researchers.

The Florida Aircraft Corporation
rebuilt, repaired and tested more than 1,000 planes.

The Pine Castle Boat and Construction Company
(later Correct Craft)
Built 8,742 assault boats and thousands of packing boxes.

Researchers developed orange juice concentrate
while 733 POW’s were put to work picking citrus fruit.

Overall, Orange County manufacturers
contributed nearly $20 million in war aid.
