1. Second Assistant Keeper's Cottage 1861 Marker
Inscription. The Second Assistant Keeper's Cottage was believed to have been built from the remains of an 1861 barracks building which housed soldiers during the Civil War. In 1867, the 2nd Assistant Keeper was assigned to live in the cottage.

The restoration was completed in 2008 for a total of $600,000.
