1. Hubbard's Arkansas Battery Tablet

The battery was commanded by Captain George T. Hubbard at the battle.

Hubbard's Arkansas Battery,
Cleburne's (2d) Brigade, Hardee's Corps,
Army of the Mississippi.
Lieut. Thrall's section of this battery, two guns, was engaged here at about 2.30 p.m. April 6, 1862. These guns were forced to retire but at 3 p.m. returned and joined the other batteries in Ruggles' line and were engaged until close of battle Sunday.

2. Hubbard's Arkansas Battery Position

The battery is represented by a James Rifled Field Gun and a 12-pdr Field Howitzer at this position. However, records indicate the battery was only equipped with smoothbore cannon during the battle.

3. Type 1 James Rifle

This riled gun was cast by Miles Greenwood of Cincinnati, Ohio in 1861. The muzzle displays the registry number 81. This early type James rifle used the pattern of the Model 1841 6-pdr Field Gun to speed production. It has 15 groove rifling.

4. 12-pdr Field Howitzer Model 1841

This 12-pdr Howitzer was produced by Cyrus Alger & Co. of Boston, Massachusetts in 1861. It's muzzle shows the registry number 206 and the inspector initials J.P.F. for Joseph Pearson Farley. On the breech face, the weight is indicated as 786 pounds.
