3. 12-pdr Field Howitzer
This howitzer was produced by Ames Manufacturing Company of Chicopee, Massachusetts in 1853. The registry number on the muzzle is badly worn and could be 113 or 115. In either case it was inspected by James Wolf Ripley, initials J.W.R.

4. 12-pdr Field Howitzer
This howitzer has only one visible marking, near the mounting point for the rear sight base, indicating the weight as 751 pounds. The profile of the cannon and marking location conform to those produced by Quinby & Robinson of Memphis Tennessee.
