was one of the premier progressive promoters and boosters
of the dynamic growth of our community and college
his tireless and effective leadership served to further
the town's motto of being where history and progress join hands
his hands-on involvement served our citizens well as we became
the focal point of East Texas, which we remain today
Mack's footprints will remain
imbedded long in our town's established paths
