Jerry Mack Wall - Air Force - Airman First Class - 12/19/1941-5/18/1966

Nacogdoches Native Jerry Mack Wall was a Loadmaster on a C-123 B "Provider" and assigned to the 310 Air Commando Squadron, which dispensed flares to illuminate targets for fighters or tactical bombers, and were dubbed "candlestick" missions. On May 18, 1966, the crew of the C-123 B was dispatched to such a mission about 45 miles east of Pleiku, Binh Dinh Province and hit by enemy fire according to ground personnel in the area, the plane was on fire and crashed. All bodies were recovered except Wall and one other crew member.

His remains were identified on October 23, 2012 and returned
