Das Gebäude mit eindrucksvollem Fachwerkgiebel auf der Ostseite stammt aus der zweiten Hälfte des 17. Jahrhun- derts. Der Apotheker Georg Wilhelm Wenzel eröffnete hier 1801 die erste Lorcher Apotheke.

Christian Mayer, der Vater des Heilbronner Arztes und Forschers Robert Mayer, betrieb die Apotheke von 1802 bis 1810.

(English translation:)

This building, with an impressive half-timbered gable on the east side, dates from the second half of the 17th century. The pharmacist Georg Wilhelm Wenzel opened the first pharmacy in Lorch here in 1801.

Christian Mayer, the father of the Heilbronn doctor and researcher Robert Mayer, ran the pharmacy from 1802 to 1810.
