1. Elnora Moorman Plaza Marker
Inscription. Elnora Moorman was appointed in May of 1969 and then elected in 1971 as the City of Jackson's first African-American and female City Commissioner. She later served as Vice-Mayor and also served the City of Jackson Housing Commission and Jackson Parks and Recreation Commission for several years. Elnora was a trailblazer and a strong advocate for the community.
