Location. 38° 47.244′ N, 119° 56.802′ W. Marker is near Meyers, California, in Alpine County. Marker can be reached from Luther Pass Road (California Route 89), on the left when traveling north. Just north of Lucas Pass is a turnout on the left. The marker is about seventy yards down a paved trail near a cattle guard. The paved trail is a section of the old highway. Touch for map.
