1. Todd's Inheritance Marker
Inscription.
Thomas Todd settled here from Gloucester County, Virginia, in 1664. Homestead has remained in Todd Family for more than three centuries. Farm once contained 1,700 acres. 17th Century brick house was burned by British Soldiers September 14, 1814, as they withdrew from unsuccessful assault on Baltimore. Rebuilt on site in 1816. Remodeled in 1867.
 
Erected 1977 by Rotary Club of Dundalk, Innerwheel of Dundalk and Maryland Historical Society.

“…Beginning of A Track of Land Called INDUSTRY 1792”

This maker embedded in stump in the front (north) yard of Todd's Inheritance marked the boundary of the Todd property when it was called Todd's Industry.
