Aalbrecht Arent del Court van Krimpen (1856-1924)

Aan het einde van de 19e eeuw ontstanden de eerste golfbanen in Nederland. Del Court stond aan de bakermat van de ontwikkeling van golf in de Nederland. Door zich al vroeg te specialiseren in het ontwerpen van golfbanen wist hij met grote betrokkenheid meerdere golfbanen te ontwerpen en het spel te bevorderen. Hij behoorde zelf tot de topgolfers van Nederland in zijn tijd. Hij speelde regelmatig mee met het Championmaat van Nederland, het latere Internationaal Amateur Kampioenschaap. Zijn beste prestatie was de deerde plaats en 1905.

At the end of the 19th century, the first golf courses were created in the Netherlands. Del Court was at the cradle of the development of golf in the Netherlands. By specializing in golf course design at an early age, he was able to design several golf courses with great involvement and to promote the game.
