Le 2 Octobre 1535
Jacques Cartier, descouvreur du Canada, gravit cette montagne sous la conduite des Indiens de la Bourgade D'Hochelaga et, devant la beaute du paysage qui s'offrait a ses yeux, il lui donna le nom de Mont Royal. “D'ou la ville de Montreal prit son nom.”

On October 2nd 1535
Jacques Cartier, discoverer of Canada, climbed this mountain under the guidance of the Indians of the village of Hochelaga and, impressed with the beauty of the landscape displayed before his eyes, he gave it the name of Mount Royal. “From which the city of Montreal took its name.”
