Regarding Leimert Plaza. Named for its developer, Walter H. Leimert, who began the subdivision business center project in 1928. The park master plan was designed by the Olmsted Brothers company, which was managed by the sons of Frederick Law Olmsted (18221903), the landscape designer best known for Central Park in New York City.
