1. Rieber House Marker
Inscription. In 1749 at the age of 10 Ulrich Rieber left Ebingen Germany for America and the territory of Pennsylvania.

He lived in Philadelphia until the age of 19 when he traveled West to Lancaster and built a house on a spring close to this location.

Ulrich's original house has been saved thanks to the generosity and enthusiasm of Phyllis Reaver Unger, a direct descendent of Ulrich Rieber, and LCSWMA who moved the house to its current location and restored it for adaptive reuse.
