Women’s History Month, CalVet remembers one of its own. The late Virginia Mae Days was CalVet’s director from 1975-81, retiring more than a decade before CalVet became a cabinet level department headed by a secretary. Her story, published on CalVet Connect last fall, bears repeating."

2. Virginia Mae Days, former MH mayor, Superior Court judge, dies.
"She held public service terms on Santa Clara County’s drug abuse commission, regional criminal justice planning board and human relations commissions as well as director of the California Department of Veterans Affairs. In 1981, she was appointed by Gov. Jerry Brown as the first Latina on the bench of the Santa Clara County Superior Court where she served for more than 20 years."

"The Morgan Hill Centennial History Trail was created to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the incorporation of the City of Morgan Hill. Starting at the center marker and then proceeding along an expanding spiral trail, you will pass approximately 100 raised post markers describing events in the history of Morgan Hill and the surrounding area."
