1. The Massachusetts Avenue Baptist Church Marker
Inscription. Founded in 1890, the Massachusetts Avenue Baptist Church is one of the oldest African-American congregations in Cambridge. The Church was erected in 1902 and 1910 in the Romanesque Revival style, has received a matching grant from Massachusetts Preservation Projects Fund through the Massachusetts Historical Commission, Secretary of the Commonwealth William Francis Galvin, Chairman.
