Plaza de la Proclamación
Está localizada al frente de la Casa del Cabildo y de la fachada lateral de la Catedral de Cartagena. Ha sido testigo de las proclamas y arengas emitidas desde la Casa del Cabildo, igualmente de las grandes celebraciones religiosas que se han realizado en la Catedral desde su fundación (siglos XVI y XVII). Fue el lugar donde, el 11 de noviembre de 1811, el pueblo reunido respaldó el Acta de Independencia. Hoy se realizan en ella todo tipo de actividades culturales.

It is located in front of the Casa del Cabildo and of the side facade of the Cathedral of Cartagena. It has witnessed proclamations and speeches issued from the House of the Cabildo, also the great religious celebrations that have taken place in the Cathedral since its founding (XVI and XVII centuries). It was the place where, on November 11, 1811, the people gathered to endorse the Declaration of Independence. Nowadays all kinds of cultural activities are performed in it.
