Ja en el segle XIV, el carrer prengué el nom actual “De Les Moles” perque en aquest lloc sota la muralla, hi havia varis “picapedrers o molers", que obraven moles per moldre i també per esmolar.

By the 14th century, this street had already taken its current name, "De Les Moles", because in this place under the wall, there were several "stone cutters or grinders", who made wheels for grinding as well as for sharpening.
