3001 E. Broad Street. c. 1905. This turn of the twentieth century house is a cross between Colonial Revival and Queen Anne styles. Notable features include the projecting bay, graceful cornices and porch details. Henry A. Hare, the first owner, was the President of Hare, Robinson and Hughes, Inc., a saw and planing mill located at 15th and Leigh Streets. Mr. Hare also became Vice-president of the Church Hill Bank. The Hare family resided in the house until 1914. This house is listed as a contributing structure to the St. John's Church Historic District on the Virginia Landmarks Register and the National Register of Historic Places.
