Waalse Kapel Comenius Mausoleum and Walloon Chapel
In 1651, this monastery chapel, originally from the 15th century, was used as a Walloon church in order to meet the desires of the Walloon velvet and silk weavers living in Naarden to worship in their own language. The Czech pedagogue, theosophist and philosopher Jan Amos Comenius, who spent the last years of his life as a refugee in Amsterdam and who was in close contact with the Walloon Church, was buried in the chapel on 22 November 1670. The exact location of his grave has long been unclear. Six years after the official reburial of Comenius on July 25, 1929, the chapel was consecrated as a Mausoleum.

5. Jan Amos Comenius (Komensky) (1592-1670)
Comenius introduced a number of educational concepts and innovations including pictorial textbooks written in native languages instead of Latin, teaching based in gradual development from simple to more comprehensive concepts, lifelong learning with a focus on logical thinking over dull memorization, equal opportunity for impoverished children, education for women, and universal and practical instruction. Besides his native Moravia, he lived and worked in other regions of the Holy Roman Empire, and other countries: Sweden, the PolishLithuanian Commonwealth, Transylvania, England, the Netherlands and Hungary. - Wikipedia
