James Colbert Park
James Colbert lived a purposeful life, devoted to caring for his family and his neighbors. James was a North Toledo resident with a passion for his community. He was always engaged in many projects, working for the benefit of others. He happily took the time to listen to, converse with, and care for the youth in the neighborhood. He had the ability to empower young people to accomplish their goals and achieve their dreams. His warm and inclusive spirit earned him the nickname "Mr. North End."
James served as an Interim Director at the Friendly Center and the Minister of Hospitality at Salem Lutheran Church. He will always be remembered as the wonderful neighbor, friend, and passionate community advocate he was. May his passion for building community and caring for young people be remembered and practiced into the future. In his memory, be kind, share love, and teach peace.
