Korte Blekersstraat
English translation:
Before 1911 called the Korte Bleekerspad (Short Bleachers Path) after the bleaching works located there in the eighteenth century along the Bleekerssloot. The Lange Bleekerspad ran from the Kostverlorenvaart to the Singel. Years later, this path was renamed De Clercqstraat. The Korte Bleekerspad was much longer than the street today and, until the annexation of 1896, part of it belonged to the municipality of Nieuwer Amstel.
