Here rest veterans of Texas War for Independence, Mexican War, Civil War, World Wars I and II; authors, bankers, educators, physicians, frontiersmen, jurists; a niece of Texas hero Sam Houston; a Grand Master of the Grand Lodge of Texas, A.F. & A.M.; other Masonic leaders; other worthy citizens.
 
Erected 1972 by State Historical Survey Committee. (Marker Number 7030.)
