Inscription.
Henry Shaw grew up in Sheffield, England. His parents sent him to a boarding school, where each student had his own garden. These childhood memories, along with his later travels, inspired Henry to build a garden for his new country home in St. Louis. In 1859, Henry Shaw opened his garden to the public for all to see and enjoy. What memories do you have of the Missouri Botanical Garden?

Imagine!
Sit in the Victorian wagon. What type of garden would you plan with Henry Shaw?
