Inscription. This sculpture was commissioned as part of the exhibition Celebrating Rinehart organized by ARTSCAPE '96, curator, Cindy Kelly, the Maryland Institute, College of Art and the Municipal Art Society of Baltimore on the 100th Anniversary of the Rinehart School of Sculpture. Ms. Townsend graduated from Rinehart in 1987. She was the first African American woman to do so.
