1. The Attack on Ben Yehuda Street Marker
Inscription. On the 12 of Adar 1 5708, February 22nd 1948 there was an explosive attack on Ben Yehuda Street. The attack was planned by Abed Al-Kader El Husseini and was carried out by six soldiers that defected from the British army using British army vehicles and weapons. As the result of the explosion 58 people were killed and 38 were wounded. Four buildings on Ben Yehuda Street were destroyed as a result of the explosion.
