Inscription. The complex was built in the 1920's-1930's for residence and commerce as part of the Jaffa Road and Romema neighborhood commercial development. It comprises buildings with commercial spaces on the ground and residence on the upper-floors, where Jewish and Arab families lived together. In the 1950's it became the Government vehicle administration compound, which gave the place its nickname. Abandoned during the 1990's it has been listed on the house conservation list of Jerusalem.
