Inscription.  

Born in Bethune, Pas-de-Calais, France.

He was ordained a priest in 1889 and sent to Jerusalem. He was the architect of the Hotellerie Notre-Dame de France from 19890.

He also made plans for Our Lady of the Spasm in 1891 (Armenian Catholic church of the fourth station of the Way of the Cross) and of Our Lady of the Ark of the Covenant in Qyriat Yearim (1920-1924).

He also intervened in the construction of several churches, convents and schools.

It is he who introduced the technique of reinforced concrete in the Holy Land and who built in reinforced concrete the colossal statue of Notre-Dame, 6 m. high, between the two towers of the apse (1904).
