Town of Westford, Massachusetts Historic Marker
This Town House was erected in 1870. In 1880 the building was renovated and expanded under the direction of architect Charles T. Emerson of Lawrence, MA and contractor William C. Edwards of this Town. The original Second Empire-style tower was toppled during the hurricane of 1938 and was replaced with the current tower. In 2010, L.D. Russo, Inc. completed a second renovation and expansion of the Town Hall, at the same time restoring the original gray paint color.
