Inscription.
Constructed ca.1902 of concrete blocks, the 35-foot water tower was topped with a 22,000 gallon water tank and a windmill apparatus to pump water to the mansion from the 7 wells located on the property. Adjacent to the north of the water tower is the estate cutting garden, which provided fresh flowers to the mansion daily. Located within the cutting garden is Mrs. Harkness' dog cemetery, nestled beneath weeping cut leaf Japanese maples.
