Inscription.
This monument is erected in thanksgiving to the mother of God. It is dedicated to all that generously gave donations for the restoration and renovation of the Shrine Chapel, the heart and oldest section of the Sorrowful Mother Shrine, through: A New Dawn. A New Beginning.

At the top is the Seal of the Sorrowful Mother Shrine. It represents the beginning of the shrine; it's continued growth; founded by the Missionaries of the Precious Blood; proclamation of the gospel; service to all; devotion to the sorrowful mother, the mother of God as the bearer of the new dawn for humankind and the precious and life-giving blood of Christ.

Many helped with this project. A memorial book of inscribed names is found in the pilgrim center. Near the monument, a time capsule was buried containing items associated with the project. It is hoped the time capsule will be opened on the 200th anniversary of the shrine.

"In Mary's name, I say this to each one of you: she loves you, each and every one of you. She loves you very much. She loves you at every moment without any exceptions."

His mother treasured all these things in her heart.
