Inscription. This century old doorstep marks the nearby birthplace of Mary Jane Gilbert daughter of Goldsmith C. Gilbert and Mary Bishop Gilbert she was the first female white child born in Hackley Reserves now Muncie Indiana. Born Sept. 18th, 1825 - Died June 24th, 1904
