Inscription.
• These small, beautiful butterflies help pollinate many fruits, berries, and flowers. They are a federally listed endangered species.

• They lay their eggs and their young feed only on the wild lupine plant. (Lupinus perennis)

• Due to habitat destruction lupine is disappearing rapidly.

• Roger Williams Park Zoo, NH Fish & Game, and US Fish & Wildlife are leading the way in planting wild lupine and restoring habitat in New England.

• Now, for the first time since the early 1900s, wild karner blues are flying again in a habitat restoration site in Concord, NH.
