1. Rising Sun Regatta Marker
Inscription. The first Rising Sun Regatta was held on July 4, 1925. A huge crowd of about 20,000 people lined the bank. On race day, the road from Aurora to Rising Sun was closed for improvement. Most fans from Cincinnati came down on the Kentucky side then crossed by ferry.
