William Sloss Van Fossen

— Medical pioneer specializing in eye, ear, nose, and throat surgery —
Co-founder of St. Clair Hospital and School of Nursing, Columbus, Ohio, active in practice at Grant Hospital, St. Anthony Hospital and served as consultant at Mt. Carmel, Mercy and Children's Hospital.
Developed, improved techniques for delicate eye, ear, nose and throat surgeries, that earned him fame and recognition in the medical professions.
Dr. Van Fossen and his wife Katherine moved to Upper Arlington in 1964. They had five children- William Jr., John, Mildred, Theodore, and Albert.
