The Chi Omega fraternity was founded at the University of Arkansas on the Fifth of April 1895. In 1930 this theatre was built as an expression of the fraternity's commitment to the pursuit of knowledge and in appreciation for its first home on the Arkansas campus. The ideals prized by the founders are inscribed above the columns which encircle the stage.
