Jake served on the board for the Upper Arlington Area Chamber of Commerce, the Board of Building Standards, and the advisory board of Northam Park Tennis. He was a lifetime member of St. Agatha parish church, serving on the administration committee for many years., Jake was known to make sure something got done if it was needed- perhaps the most notable example was his effort to construct a new picnic shelter and restroom facility at Northwest Kiwanis Park to serve the Northwest Kiwanis soccer program., A graduate of The Ohio State University and a U.S. Army veteran, Jake was a strong mentor, teacher and friend to many of our community's current leaders. Married to his wife, Margaret, for 61 years, together they were proud parents and grandparents, passing on the values for which they are best remembered.
