1. The Nielsen-Rideout Home Marker
Inscription. Peter A. Nielsen, a stone mason and Mormon pioneer from Denmark, built the original portion of the home in 1880 using a granite stone foundation and two courses of soft-fired brick for the exterior walls. Circa 1900 the front portion of the home was added. In 1912 the home was sold to the Rideout family who was prominent in business and Utah politics. They remodeled the home and added the stunning woodwork and fireplace. A modern restroom and a rear addition were added to the home in the 1940's. In 1999 the home was sold to Draper City. They later sold the home which is now owned and preserved by the Lang family.
