1. Lange Voorhout 44 Marker
In de middeleeuwen stonden hier zes kleine huisjes voor arme oude vrouwen. In 1618 twee grotere huizen. Deze werden in de jaren na 1624 tot een huis samen- gevoegd door Susanna Hoefnagel, weduwe Huygens. Van 1624 tot 1627 bewoond door haar zoon Constantijn Huygens, ridder, dichter, diplomaat, geleerde, componist, architect en secretaris van Prins Frederik Hendrik en Prins Willem II. Sinds 1854 in het bezit van de graaf en gravin van Bylandt-van der Staal van Piershil. 1902 bewoond door hun dochter Marie Alexandrine Otheline Caroline, oprichter van de M.A.O.C. Gravin van Bylandt Stichting. Van 1918 tot 1980 vestiging hotel restaurant Royal.
In the Middle Ages, six small houses for poor elderly women stood here. In 1618 two larger houses. In the years after 1624, these were merged into one house by Susanna Hoefnagel, the widow of Huygens. From 1624 to 1627 inhabited by her son Constantijn Huygens, knight, poet, diplomat, scholar, composer, architect and secretary of Prince Frederik Hendrik and Prince Willem II. Since 1854 in the possession of the count and countess van Bylandt-van der Staal van Piershil. 1902 inhabited by their daughter Marie Alexandrine Otheline Caroline, founder of the M.A.O.C. Countess van Bylandt Foundation. From 1918 to 1980 it was the hotel-restaurant Royal.
